Description

  • Partner with Sales Managers, Field Project Engineers, Pre-Sales Engineers, and the broader Sales Network to support regional sales efforts.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of Genetec’s product portfolio, including new features and releases.
  • Define the most suitable solutions based on customer and partner requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders across the region.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to showcase solution capabilities.
  • Provide technical expertise to Sales teams when responding to customer requirements and specifications.
  • Work closely with Technical Support to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales and successful deployment.
  • Represent Genetec at industry events, security fairs, exhibitions, and seminars.
  • Create technical content such as white papers and share field feedback with Product Management to support product improvement.
  • Implement complex software solutions and support customers through technical evaluation and deployment.
  • Travel approximately 40% of the time to engage with customers, partners, and internal teams across the region.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing or partner-facing roles within a technology-driven environment, with security industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical expertise with hands-on experience in IP networking and protocols, Windows operating systems, PC configuration, and complex software integration or implementation.
  • Strong pre-sales or technical customer support background with the ability to translate technical requirements into tailored solutions.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, including incident analysis and resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver within timelines.
  • High customer orientation, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trust quickly.
  • Proactive, positive, and curious mindset with a drive to achieve objectives.
  • Understanding of the local security markets across Africa, including ecosystem, technologies, and trends.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Engineering degree in electronics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a similar field (preferred).
  • Practical background as a security system installer, commissioner, or system integrator (preferred).
  • MCSE, CCNA, or similar certifications (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Genetec’s product ecosystem (preferred).
