Description

  • Contribute to feature development for US gateway products.
  • Participate in system design and testing for mission-critical payment systems.
  • Manage and enhance the infrastructure supporting the platform.
  • Support daily product operations, including participation in the on-call rotation.
  • Help build and prepare the US gateway products for customer onboarding and go-live.
  • Own technical solutions end-to-end from design through production support.
  • Collaborate closely with Product colleagues and other engineers across distributed teams.
  • Drive technical decisions and contribute to group ownership of solutions.
  • Work within a multi-cloud platform and support containerised microservices architecture.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of designing and building distributed systems.
  • Experience working on complex, high-performance, highly robust software systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud and containerisation technologies.
  • Experience with test automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience programming in Go.
  • Ability to apply a 'right tool for the job' mindset, including using Java where appropriate.
  • Appreciation of clean code and software engineering best practices.
  • Strong communication skills and an interest in sharing knowledge and collaborating with others.
  • Comfort working asynchronously across multiple time zones.
  • Experience with technologies in the stack such as AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, CockroachDB, Elasticsearch, Vault, NATS, Terraform, GitHub, Prometheus, and Tilt.
  • Experience with TDD/BDD, pair programming, SecDevOps, CQRS, and open-source development.
  • Ability to work remotely from Canada (Ontario only).
