Description

Contribute to feature development for US gateway products.
Participate in system design and testing for mission-critical payment systems.
Manage and enhance the infrastructure supporting the platform.
Support daily product operations, including participation in the on-call rotation.
Help build and prepare the US gateway products for customer onboarding and go-live.
Own technical solutions end-to-end from design through production support.
Collaborate closely with Product colleagues and other engineers across distributed teams.
Drive technical decisions and contribute to group ownership of solutions.
Work within a multi-cloud platform and support containerised microservices architecture.

Requirements

Deep understanding of designing and building distributed systems.
Experience working on complex, high-performance, highly robust software systems.
Familiarity with cloud and containerisation technologies.
Experience with test automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience programming in Go.
Ability to apply a 'right tool for the job' mindset, including using Java where appropriate.
Appreciation of clean code and software engineering best practices.
Strong communication skills and an interest in sharing knowledge and collaborating with others.
Comfort working asynchronously across multiple time zones.
Experience with technologies in the stack such as AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, CockroachDB, Elasticsearch, Vault, NATS, Terraform, GitHub, Prometheus, and Tilt.
Experience with TDD/BDD, pair programming, SecDevOps, CQRS, and open-source development.
Ability to work remotely from Canada (Ontario only).
