Description

  • Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure and systems for blockchain participation and custody offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve infrastructure, monitoring, system automation, and incident response.
  • Identify and implement process, automation, and tooling improvements that increase operational efficiency.
  • Develop a current and forward-looking view of the domain and communicate insights to leadership to inform strategy.
  • Research emerging trends in the web3 and blockchain space and apply relevant findings to the team’s work.
  • Identify, scope, and build new product opportunities that add value to the business.
  • Debug complex distributed blockchains and protocols to improve network participation.
  • Implement monitoring and observability tools and best practices to maintain health, performance, and stability.
  • Participate in and improve on-call rotations to support service reliability and uptime.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, scaling, and recovery processes.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Protocol, DevOps, or SRE Engineer.
  • Prior software engineering or application development experience in modern languages such as .Net, Go, Rust, or C/C++.
  • Ability to script in Python, Perl, or bash and identify manual processes that can be automated.
  • Demonstrated experience with blockchain infrastructure or strong knowledge of blockchain concepts such as proof-of-stake, web3, and RPC.
  • Deep familiarity with compute infrastructure systems, observability, debugging strategies, and root-cause analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Linux systems, system performance optimization, and command-line tooling.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, or Docker.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or LogDNA.
  • Conceptual knowledge of security best practices, including encryption, access control, and network security.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, determine root cause, and drive them to resolution.
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience (bonus point).
  • Hands-on experience operating Solana, Ethereum, or similar validation infrastructure or RPC systems (bonus point).
  • Experience with Kubernetes or similar compute orchestration systems (bonus point).
  • Experience defining infrastructure as code with Terraform or similar tooling (bonus point).
  • Experience participating in or reading/parsing on-chain activity (bonus point).
  • Ability to build backend services in addition to infrastructure (bonus point).
