Description

  • Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure and systems for blockchain participation and custody services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve infrastructure, monitoring, system automation, and incident response.
  • Identify and implement process, automation, and tooling improvements that enhance infrastructure operations.
  • Develop current and forward-looking views into domain activity and communicate insights to leadership and the organization.
  • Research emerging trends in the web3 and blockchain space and stay current on industry developments.
  • Identify, scope, and build new product opportunities that could create business value.
  • Debug complex distributed blockchains and protocols to improve participation and reliability.
  • Implement monitoring and observability tools and practices to support health, performance, and stability.
  • Participate in and improve domain-specific on-call rotations to maintain uptime and service reliability.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for deployment, scaling, and recovery processes.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Prior software engineering or application development experience in modern programming languages such as .Net, Go, Rust, C/C++, or Java.
  • Experience or awareness of Chainlink systems, services, or ecosystem.
  • Ability to script in Python, Perl, or bash and identify processes that can be automated.
  • Demonstrated experience with blockchain infrastructure or strong knowledge of blockchain concepts such as proof-of-stake consensus, web3, and RPC.
  • Deep familiarity with compute infrastructure systems, tooling, observability, and debugging strategies.
  • Troubleshooting expertise across complex application flows spanning multiple systems, including server, network, and application issues.
  • Working knowledge of Linux systems, system performance optimization, and command-line tooling.
  • Expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and virtualization/container technologies such as VMware, KVM, or Docker.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or LogDNA.
  • Conceptual knowledge of security best practices, including encryption, access control, firewalls, and traffic filtering.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and drive issues through to resolution.
  • Hands-on experience operating Solana, Ethereum, or similar validation infrastructure or RPC systems.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or similar compute orchestration systems.
  • Skill in defining infrastructure as code with Terraform or similar tooling.
  • Experience participating in or reading and parsing on-chain activity.
  • Ability to build backend services in addition to infrastructure.
