Description

  • Write the first lines of production code and lead technical execution end-to-end.
  • Harden Ava’s voice and workflow systems for in-production reliability.
  • Establish core architecture, observability, and audit-trail standards.
  • Build the internal delivery layer for configuring, monitoring, and optimizing AI performance.
  • Own the trade-offs between AI quality and cost-per-call and manage unit economics.
  • Represent the company to lawyers, partners, and investors as the technical voice of the venture.
  • Convert pilots into paying customers and expand the roadmap beyond the front desk role.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering team and help establish the company culture.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping LLM-powered and voice systems into production environments with high-stakes outcomes.
  • Full-stack confidence across applied LLMs, real-time voice and conversational AI, telephony, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Strong judgment around reliability engineering, edge-case management, and AI quality versus cost trade-offs.
  • Experience building managed or service-heavy platforms without scaling engineering headcount at the same rate.
  • Ability to operate with founder-level ownership and make decisive calls on product integrity.
  • Preferred: prior founder experience or early-stage technical leadership experience.
  • Preferred: background in legal tech, healthcare, or another trust-sensitive vertical.
  • Preferred: capability to self-host custom models to meet legal and privacy requirements.
  • Resume, LinkedIn profile, and a brief note on founder fit required for application.
