Description

  • Write the first lines of production code and set the technical direction for the company.
  • Establish the core architecture, engineering culture, and security posture for the platform.
  • Build and launch a marketing review prototype with an early design partner, then deliver the next product modules on the roadmap.
  • Develop communications surveillance, trading oversight, audit-ready logs, and reporting capabilities.
  • Lead the training and ongoing evolution of the core AI/LLM model.
  • Own the explainability layer that produces audit-ready evidence on demand.
  • Own reliability engineering to ensure consistent performance in production.
  • Represent the company to customers, investors, and third-party stakeholders as the technical voice of the venture.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering and applied AI team.
  • Partner with the CEO on product, technology, hiring, fundraising, and strategy decisions.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping LLM-powered systems into production where incorrect outputs had significant consequences.
  • Strong full-stack confidence across applied LLMs, RAG, retrieval, deterministic rules engines, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Experience with SOC 2 readiness, tenant isolation, encryption, and audit logging.
  • Well-formed convictions about explainability and reliability engineering based on direct production experience.
  • Comfort operating as a principal, making decisive calls under uncertainty, and owning outcomes.
  • Strong preference for prior founder, founding engineer, or early-stage technical leadership experience.
  • Preferred background in legal tech, RegTech, fintech compliance, healthcare, or another high-trust regulated vertical.
  • Preferred familiarity with the U.S. wealth management ecosystem, including SEC and FINRA workflows, marketing review, communications surveillance, and trade monitoring.
  • Preferred direct experience self-hosting or privately deploying foundation models.
