Description

  • Write the first lines of production code and set the technical direction for the company.
  • Establish the core architecture, engineering culture, and security posture, including SOC 2 readiness, tenant isolation, encryption, and audit logging.
  • Ship a marketing review prototype into production with a design partner early adopter.
  • Deliver communications surveillance, trading oversight, audit-ready logs and reporting, and expand the platform toward regulatory filings and enterprise integrations.
  • Own the training and ongoing evolution of the core AI/LLM model.
  • Own the explainability layer and reliability engineering so the platform produces audit-ready evidence and performs consistently in production.
  • Represent the company to customers, third parties, and investors as the technical voice of the venture.
  • Partner with the CEO on converting pilots into paying customers, fundraising, product decisions, technology decisions, hiring, and strategy.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering and applied AI team.
  • Build the cultural foundation of the company.

Requirements

  • Shipped LLM-powered systems into production where incorrect outputs had real consequences.
  • Full-stack experience with applied LLMs, RAG, retrieval, deterministic rules engines, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Experience with SOC 2 readiness, tenant isolation, encryption, and audit logging.
  • Strong convictions about explainability and reliability engineering developed through production experience.
  • Prepared to operate as a principal, setting the technical agenda and making decisive calls under uncertainty.
  • Strongly preferred: prior founder, founding engineer, or early-stage technical leadership experience.
  • Strongly preferred: background in legal tech, RegTech, fintech compliance, healthcare, or another high-trust regulated vertical.
  • Strongly preferred: familiarity with the U.S. wealth management ecosystem, including SEC and FINRA workflows, marketing review, communications surveillance, and trade monitoring.
  • Strongly preferred: direct experience self-hosting or privately deploying foundation models.
