Description

  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 technicians and resolve complex support tickets.
  • Troubleshoot, configure, and manage advanced routing, switching, LAN, and WAN environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve high-level system, server, and network outages to minimize business disruption.
  • Assist with deploying, migrating, and upgrading client infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and cloud integrations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of client networks, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Mentor junior team members and support best practices across the help desk and engineering team.
  • Support disaster recovery scenarios and help recover client data during outages.
  • Work independently in a remote environment while collaborating proactively with clients and internal teams.
  • Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to non-technical users.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on networking and advanced IT support experience, ideally in an MSP environment.
  • Must reside in the Continental United States.
  • Candidates in Pacific or Central time zones are preferred.
  • CompTIA Network+ certification is required.
  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification is preferred, or must be earned within 6 months of hire.
  • CompTIA Security+, Fortinet NSE4+, SonicWall SNSA, AZ-104, or MS-102 certifications are preferred.
  • Strong practical experience with routing and switching, LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall management.
  • Experience with Datto Networking hardware is a major advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with Datto BCDR, Veeam, or Barracuda is a strong plus.
  • Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Office/Microsoft 365, and virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a 100% remote environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts with clarity and empathy.
