Description

  • Set the roadmap for scaling the Design organization across a growing platform.
  • Build the design operating system, including processes, standards, rituals, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Define and raise the design quality bar while developing the craft and growth of the design team.
  • Own the cross-product experience strategy and design governance so the platform feels unified.
  • Lead role expectations, career progression, talent development, collaboration models, and team culture across product lines.
  • Operate as a peer-level design leader and strategic partner to product leadership, including the CPO and CEO.
  • Challenge assumptions and advocate for the customer experience in executive discussions.
  • Stay close to the work by critiquing designs and contributing to problem-solving when needed.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and scaling design organizations.
  • Strong opinions on design operations, ways of working, design systems, and future-state design org structures.
  • Experience with AI-enabled design workflows.
  • Multi-product leadership experience across large platform ecosystems and complex user journeys.
  • Experience owning the edges and intersections where products meet.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Ability to challenge leadership and advocate for the user.
  • Track record of operating at scale.
  • AI-forward mindset.
