Description

  • Lead a cross-functional Product Engineering pod responsible for payments.
  • Serve as a technical authority for payment-related decisions across the engineering organization.
  • Own the checkout experience end to end, from cart through confirmation.
  • Design and maintain integrations with payment processors such as Stripe.
  • Build and evolve integrations with financial and fulfillment systems.
  • Ensure payment flows are secure, auditable, observable, and highly reliable.
  • Balance feature delivery with operational rigor for revenue-critical systems.
  • Guide systems design, modernization, and large-scale production refactoring efforts.
  • Manage the full system lifecycle from design through production operations.
  • Coach engineers and oversee performance management and career development.

Requirements

  • Experience leading ecommerce or transaction-critical systems.
  • Understanding of payment integrations such as Stripe or comparable platforms.
  • Technical depth in architecture, system design, reliability, scalability, and technical tradeoffs.
  • Strong product judgment and ability to guide senior engineering discussions.
  • Experience planning and executing platform modernization or large production refactors.
  • Direct engineering management experience, including coaching, performance management, and career development.
  • Ability to partner closely with finance and operations stakeholders.
  • Commitment to disciplined operation of revenue-critical systems and informed decisions about delivery speed.
