Description

  • Set and execute the technical vision for the Security Engineering Platform team across AWS, GCP, access, identity, and secrets services.
  • Own the hardening roadmap for tier-0 cloud infrastructure and access services.
  • Coach and mentor technical leads and engineers while contributing to complex cloud security, identity, and secrets-management problems.
  • Partner with Core Infrastructure, Compute, Data, and other platform teams to secure shared cloud infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain operational excellence practices, including on-call rotations, escalation paths, incident response, and minimal downtime.
  • Continuously harden AWS and GCP environments by eliminating insecure defaults before production.
  • Develop in-house security services when third-party platform controls are insufficient.
  • Guide secure and responsible adoption of AI tooling and agentic workflows from a platform security perspective.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience as a Security or Infrastructure Platform Engineer at an internet-scale organization.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated technical leadership managing teams delivering outcomes at global scale.
  • Deep hands-on expertise hardening AWS and/or GCP, including account structures, guardrails, workload and network posture, and golden image pipelines.
  • Experience operating access and secrets infrastructure such as Teleport, HashiCorp Vault, or equivalent PAM and secrets-management platforms.
  • Track record of running highly available, no-downtime platform services with mature on-call, incident response, and root cause analysis practices.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Security Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience designing scalable security controls and processes that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
