Description

  • Perform a deep-dive assessment of the existing Mule CE integration landscape.
  • Diagnose root causes of performance, scalability, and stability issues under load.
  • Optimize throughput, latency, memory usage, and thread management.
  • Improve error handling, monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms.
  • Implement best practices for integration design, deployment, and operations.
  • Establish operational runbooks, performance baselines, and governance standards.
  • Provide recommendations for future scalability, platform sustainability, and migration strategies.
  • Deliver enhancements, coordinate cross-functional teams, and resolve blockers during delivery cycles.
  • Lead complex initiatives, refine backlog priorities, and identify potential upsell opportunities.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute strategic inputs for roadmap planning.

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of hands-on experience with Mule ESB / Mule Community Edition in production environments.
  • Proven expertise in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and load optimization for integration platforms.
  • Experience supporting integration platforms without vendor support.
  • Deep understanding of the JVM, threading, memory management, and resource utilization.
  • Strong knowledge of API and system integrations including REST, HTTP/S, and file-based integrations.
  • Ability to document findings, solutions, operational processes, and runbooks clearly.
  • Preferred: experience with migration strategies (Mule CE → MuleSoft Anypoint or other iPaaS tools).
  • Preferred: exposure to monitoring tools and observability practices.
  • Preferred: experience stabilizing high-volume, mission-critical integration platforms.
  • Available to work as a contract resource for a Toronto, ON role with remote flexibility (month-to-month engagement).
