Description

  • Lead the design of living-world systems that respond to player and guild actions.
  • Own an integrated guild system that influences content, events, and the state of the world.
  • Create scalable content frameworks for new interaction points, stories, and world changes.
  • Blend narrative and game systems to tell stories through mechanics, events, and world state.
  • Partner with community, narrative, product, and live ops teams on feature design and iteration.
  • Deliver clear design documentation and direction for engineering and art partners.
  • Translate player behavior, sentiment, and community feedback into world state and systemic changes.
  • Own features end-to-end from concept and prototyping through implementation, tuning, and live iteration.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional game design experience.
  • Strong systems design fundamentals and a holistic view of player experience.
  • Experience in narrative design, world building, or live content systems.
  • Experience creating depth, social connection, and replayability in short, repeatable mobile sessions.
  • High agency and self-direction with the ability to own features end-to-end.
  • Strong creative instincts for storytelling through mechanics, systems, and player interaction.
  • Deep empathy for players and communities and an understanding of social dynamics in shared worlds.
  • Clear, structured communication skills and experience collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Bonus: experience in mobile games, live service development, ARGs, D&D or DM-style world building, or community-driven online worlds.
