Description

  • Manage a team of full stack engineers and support their growth, performance, and engagement.
  • Translate quarterly roadmaps into realistic delivery plans and track progress against company goals.
  • Run agile delivery processes and continuously improve them using delivery metrics.
  • Manage cross-domain and third-party dependencies, escalating and resolving blockers early.
  • Review RFCs and technical proposals for design, scalability, security, and integration risk.
  • Lead technical discussions with external integration partners and assess technical feasibility.
  • Improve engineering process and delivery metrics such as cycle time, deployment frequency, change-failure rate, and defect escape rate.
  • Ensure security and compliance obligations such as PCI DSS are built into the team’s work.
  • Define and track team OKRs and engineering KPIs, including DORA metrics.
  • Coordinate with Product, Customer Success, DevOps, and internal stakeholders to deliver shared goals.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing a team of software engineers with predictable delivery outcomes.
  • Strong command of agile and lean delivery practices, including sprints, kanban, estimation, and refinement.
  • Proven ability to manage dependencies and coordinate delivery across multiple teams and external partners.
  • Ability to critically review RFCs and technical proposals and reason about architecture, scalability, and integration risk.
  • Fluency with delivery and quality metrics and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in multi-market or multi-region environments, ideally with distributed and remote teams.
  • Comfort in a fast-moving scale-up environment where priorities shift and ambiguity is normal.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS with high-volume B2C traffic patterns is preferred.
  • Background in hospitality-tech, food and beverage, payments, or last-mile delivery is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GCP, Kubernetes, GitHub, PHP/Symfony, NodeJS, Typescript, and mobile technologies such as Capacitor, Ionic, or React Native is preferred.
  • Familiarity with integrating third-party systems such as POS, PMS, payment gateways, and delivery aggregators is preferred.
  • Experience hiring and scaling engineering teams in the MENA region is preferred.
  • BSc or MSc degree, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
