Description

  • Design and produce motion graphics, animations, and visual effects for marketing campaigns, product explainer videos, social media, digital ads, event content, and executive presentations.
  • Lead motion design projects from concept through final delivery, including timeline management, stakeholder feedback, and quality control.
  • Collaborate with brand designers, video producers, content strategists, and marketing teams to create cohesive visual narratives.
  • Build and evolve Filevine’s motion design system, including animation principles, reusable templates, and usage guidelines.
  • Mentor junior designers and provide creative direction on animation craft, workflow best practices, and motion design fundamentals.
  • Partner with external production teams on editing, color grading, sound design integration, and visual effects for long-form content.
  • Optimize deliverables for social, web, broadcast, and internal presentation formats while meeting technical specs and brand standards.
  • Stay current on motion design trends, emerging tools, and AI-assisted workflows, and bring experimentation to the creative team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional motion design experience in a tech company, creative agency, or in-house creative team.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong range in motion design work.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Deep understanding of animation principles, motion theory, typography in motion, color theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience working within brand systems and evolving motion guidelines while maintaining brand coherence.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, self-direct, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to present and defend creative decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
  • A collaborative, low-ego approach and enthusiasm for motion design craft.
  • Proficiency in Cinema 4D, Blender, or other 3D tools is a plus.
  • Experience with character animation, illustration-based animation, or kinetic typography is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Figma for cross-functional collaboration is a plus.
  • Experience at a B2B SaaS or legal tech company is a plus.
  • Hands-on video production experience, including lighting, camera operation, and on-set direction, is a plus.
  • Comfort working with or exploring AI-assisted creative tools such as Runway, Pika, or Calvary is a plus.
