Description

  • Define and own the operational readiness framework across people, processes, technology, and supply chain.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year operations strategy aligned with growth targets and customer commitments.
  • Partner with executive and cross-functional leaders to ensure production offerings are operationally deliverable and fit customer needs.
  • Establish operational KPIs, dashboards, and governance rhythms to ensure visibility and accountability.
  • Lead end-to-end execution of customer production programs from intake through delivery.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex or high-priority customer programs and resolve delivery bottlenecks.
  • Partner with program management leadership to implement standards and repeatable execution processes.
  • Collaborate with sales and account management to translate customer requirements into operational plans and capacity commitments.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing production operations organization across regions.
  • Drive lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and waste reduction.
  • Partner with IT and digital transformation teams to implement and optimize ERP, WMS, MES, and analytics tools.
  • Own supply chain strategy for production programs, including supplier readiness, inventory positioning, procurement, and resilience planning.
  • Serve as a senior operational partner to customers and represent operations in executive forums.
  • Use metrics, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and AI-enabled tools to improve performance and decision-making.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior or executive VP-level role overseeing production or manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading operational transformation and scaling operations in growth-stage or mid-market contract manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in production program management, supply chain strategy, and lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop large, globally distributed teams.
  • Strong cross-functional influencing skills and ability to align diverse stakeholders around strategy and execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in industrial components, manufacturing distribution, or custom parts fulfillment industries, ideally with exposure to MISUMI’s business model.
  • MBA or an advanced degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience leading digital or ERP transformation programs within an operations environment preferred.
  • Multilingual capabilities in Spanish, Japanese, and/or Mandarin are a plus.
  • Ability to travel frequently, approximately 25–40%, to supply regions, customer locations, and operational hubs.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $220,000–$270,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Variable compensation potential of $50,000–$80,000.
