Description

  • Coordinate responses to service escalations, including investigation, referral drafting, approval gathering, and documentation for service staff.
  • Perform root cause analysis and reporting on service escalations to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support cross-functional teams by identifying training needs for company and product topics.
  • Help identify and write underwriting manuals and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with developing operations reporting.
  • Conduct OFAC and OFSI screening for U.S. and Canada referrals and provide required reporting to the insurance carrier.
  • Complete the underwriting referral process for suspicious claims activity and execute resulting underwriting actions with Platform Operations.
  • Conduct and support monthly review of bordereaux reporting for the insurance carrier.
  • Support internal audits and annual underwriting and claims audits, including file gathering, coordination, and general support.
  • Monitor and process CCPA requests.
  • Support investigation of regulatory complaints with the Compliance Specialist.
  • Track competitor products and filing activity and conduct ad hoc research or projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the P&C insurance industry.
  • Pet insurance and/or insurtech experience is a plus.
  • General knowledge of insurance, operations, policy forms, IT applications, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to solve problems independently by effectively leveraging available resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn and improve processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to research topics, organize information, and clearly communicate findings.
