Description

  • Set experiential direction and provide strategic guidance from ambiguous brief through final delivery.
  • Define and champion human-centered product principles and ensure teams execute against them.
  • Oversee complex, large-scale engagements as a hands-on leader with strong attention to detail.
  • Distill user research, business strategy, technical constraints, and stakeholder feedback into clear design direction.
  • Develop product visions, feature sets, and roadmaps and present them through strategic narratives.
  • Build scalable design systems that support consistent, accessible, world-class experiences.
  • Collaborate across product, engineering, research, and strategy to align on experiential approaches.
  • Mentor, manage, and grow a team of UX designers.
  • Improve design processes and help define how AI tools are used in the team’s practice.
  • Lead client meetings, workshops, presentations, and ongoing partnership conversations.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States or Canada.
  • 10+ years of experience in the design industry.
  • Portfolio demonstrating digital product, service, or systems design work across multiple industries and contexts.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire designers.
  • Ability to independently drive UX vision from strategy through interaction design to shipped experience.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI-powered design tools.
  • Strong thought leadership, strategic thinking, and an articulate point of view.
  • Meticulous eye for detail and strong design aesthetic sensibilities.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive, accessible, and equitable design practices.
