Description

  • Lead engineering teams responsible for geolocation, exclusions, responsible gaming, data residency, prohibited persons, login, and registration systems.
  • Set standards for security, reliability, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.
  • Establish monitoring and alerting to detect fraud, compliance violations, and operational risks.
  • Partner with Risk, Legal, Compliance, Product, Data, and Responsible Gaming teams on strategy and priorities.
  • Own real-time gaming controls, including wager limits, session controls, cooling-off periods, and self-exclusion enforcement.
  • Oversee geolocation infrastructure and ensure accurate, low-latency jurisdiction verification.
  • Lead user-sync processes that maintain consistent account, eligibility, and compliance data across systems.
  • Build high-performing engineering teams and deliver scalable, maintainable software.
  • Define roadmaps balancing customer experience, compliance, risk mitigation, and player protection.
  • Communicate technical strategy through roadmaps, vision documents, risk assessments, and incident reviews.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
  • Track record delivering secure, scalable systems in high-risk or regulated environments.
  • Experience with Java and AWS ecosystems preferred.
  • Experience with fraud detection, payments, compliance, or responsible gaming systems highly desirable.
  • Ability to balance strategic direction with hands-on technical execution.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills across Engineering, Product, Risk, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Experience navigating complex cross-functional and regulatory challenges.
  • Commitment to operational excellence and resilient, high-trust systems.
  • Passion for mentoring engineers and leaders and fostering security, empathy, and innovation.
  • Experience with geolocation, gaming compliance controls, user-sync pipelines, data consistency, or prohibited-persons frameworks preferred.

Benefits

  • USA remote base salary range of $172,000–$215,000.
  • Remote employees may be eligible for a home office setup stipend.
