Description

Lead, grow, and coach a Platform Engineering team across junior through staff levels.
Own roadmap delivery and technical quality for cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and developer tooling.
Champion a platform-as-a-product approach by gathering internal developer feedback and prioritizing DevEx improvements.
Own operational excellence, including on-call practices, incident response, and blameless post-mortems.
Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions for internal tooling and third-party SaaS solutions.
Ensure infrastructure and CI/CD changes meet compliance and security requirements in a regulated environment.
Evaluate and roll out AI-assisted engineering tools across a distributed team without compromising security.
Communicate platform health, roadmap progress, and outcomes to engineering leadership and stakeholders.
Translate business priorities and developer experience signals into a multi-quarter platform strategy.
Defend roadmap tradeoffs against competing stakeholder demands.

Requirements

Proven experience directly managing platform engineering teams.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD / release engineering.
Ability to review architecture and technical proposals credibly.
Demonstrated coaching, mentorship, and performance management skills.
Experience fostering psychological safety on engineering teams.
Experience building and communicating a multi-quarter strategic roadmap for a platform organization.
Ability to translate business priorities and DevEx signals into sequenced platform investments.
Experience defending tradeoffs with stakeholders.
Experience in a regulated industry such as betting & gaming or fintech (preferred).
FinOps experience for large-scale Kubernetes environments (preferred).
Experience evaluating or rolling out AI-assisted developer tooling (preferred).
Familiarity with Python, Go, Terraform, Postgres/RDS, Kafka, and Redis (preferred).

Benefits

Base salary of $190,080 to $237,600 USD.
Bonus eligibility.
Full-time employment.
In-person interview and onboarding components may be included depending on role and location.
