Description

  • Own core CoE processes including recruitment, placement, onboarding, and career growth initiatives for software engineers.
  • Design and implement scalable process improvements to improve efficiency and drive innovation.
  • Coach and mentor Engineering Leads and engineers to strengthen technical seniority, performance, and ownership.
  • Bridge strategy and execution by ensuring key initiatives are implemented, tracked, and delivered successfully.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery across software projects and client engagements, resolving risks and execution issues early.
  • Handle client escalations related to performance, availability, soft skills, and account relationships.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with People, Recruiting, technical teams, and other stakeholders to align resources and dependencies.
  • Manage complex software projects from inception to completion and communicate results clearly to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and optimize CoE metrics such as resource utilization, placement success, and team performance.
  • Support technical sales and pre-sales activities, including discovery calls and evaluating client job descriptions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of total professional experience with a record of increasing responsibility.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering roles such as Full-stack, Back-end, Front-end, or Platform engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in leadership roles managing teams or complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Advanced English proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, including system design, architecture, code quality, testing strategy, and SDLC ownership.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-impact results in fast-paced or ambiguous environments.
  • Strong project management skills, including agile methodologies, resource planning, and risk mitigation.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching technical talent.
  • Strategic problem-solving skills with rigor in measuring outcomes and engineering quality.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills bridging technical execution and business strategy.
  • Consulting or client-facing experience, including technical proposals and high-stakes client relationships (preferred).
  • Experience designing training programs or internal enablement curricula focused on the modern software stack (preferred).
  • Exposure to AI and Generative AI use cases in software workflows (preferred).
  • Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and DevOps practices (preferred).
  • Experience scaling teams or operational processes in a startup or Center of Excellence environment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with engineering quality and governance frameworks for enterprise environments (preferred).
  • Active participation in the engineering community through open source, conference speaking, or technical blogging (preferred).
