Description

  • Provide technology and product consulting for customer and partner opportunities.
  • Deliver high-level and in-depth technical presentations to customers, prospects, and channel partners.
  • Support RFI and RFP responses.
  • Organize and lead proof-of-concept activities.
  • Design solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Participate as a specialist on assigned virtual teams and contribute to team activities.
  • Support customer evaluations, demonstrations, and detailed design requirements.
  • Work with customer project teams on design and PoC labs.
  • Set criteria for successful proof-of-concepts and overall solution designs.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers and partners.

Requirements

  • Excellent presentation skills and fluency in German and English.
  • Strong, successful pre-sales engineering track record in a similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of Layer 2/3 switching, IPv4/v6 routing concepts, overlay networking, VPNs, Wi-Fi operation and design, and network security principles.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with cloud technologies and cloud-based network management platforms is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of compute and network virtualization principles, network management and orchestration software, SD-WAN, automation scripting, and APIs is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on customer project teams for design and PoC labs.
  • Tenacity and perseverance with a customer-advocate mindset.
  • Ability to build, develop, and maintain relationships with customers and partners.
  • Major account experience and experience closing deals are necessary.
  • Extreme Networks certifications are desirable, and recognized industry certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of future trends and market directions.
  • Good hands-on lab experience is required.
  • Domestic and international travel are required.
