Description

  • Design and implement end-to-end document intelligence pipelines on AWS.
  • Develop and optimize ML models for document classification, segmentation, and field extraction.
  • Build scalable data processing systems for PDFs up to 2,000 pages.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to define and refine extraction requirements.
  • Own features from research through production deployment and monitoring.
  • Establish evaluation frameworks and quality metrics for extraction accuracy.
  • Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business experts to deliver production systems.
  • Support iterative solution design by proposing and executing technical approaches from concept to production.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Python, including native Python, Pandas, ScikitLearn, TensorFlow or PyTorch, PyStats, and Pydantic.
  • Experience with AWS tools for ML engineering and deployment, including SageMaker, Lambda, CloudFormation/CDK, and Step Functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and data modeling.
  • Experience with GenAI for document intelligence, including prompt engineering, RAG, multi-modal models, and production deployment with AWS Bedrock or Azure OpenAI APIs.
  • Experience in experiment design, including power analysis and hypothesis testing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for a remote, largely asynchronous work environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical problems and propose iterative solutions.
  • Experience owning a feature from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution.
  • Upper-Intermediate English level.
  • Preferred: Experience with document processing tools such as AWS Textract, Azure Document Intelligence, or similar OCR/layout detection systems.
  • Preferred: Experience with PDF and image processing libraries such as PyMuPDF, OpenCV, and Pillow.
  • Preferred: Experience in machine learning and data science, including model selection, feature engineering, training, hyperparameter tuning, and supervised/unsupervised learning.
  • Preferred: Experience working with AWS big data technologies such as Redshift, S3, EMR, and Glue.
