Description

  • Design, develop, test, and lead feature implementation as part of an agile cross-functional development team.
  • Share ownership with engineering managers, product owners, architects, and QA for delivery of product features across their full lifecycle.
  • Develop web and server solutions that integrate edge hardware devices into a situational-awareness platform.
  • Implement and maintain .NET Core backend services and integrate them with AWS-hosted Kubernetes microservices.
  • Build ReactJS micro-frontends (ES6+ TypeScript, LESS) and integrate with backend APIs.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservice interactions (OpenAPI) for clustered environments.
  • Work on domain problems such as geospatial data display and tracking, video snapshot storage and overlay integration, access control, and near real-time event processing.
  • Contribute to CI/CD and quality practices including GitLab pipelines, unit testing, Selenium GUI tests, and static analysis.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience (commercial or open source).
  • Proven experience with Microsoft .NET Core 6+ and C# development.
  • Good understanding of web technologies (HTML5, CSS3) and experience with a major JavaScript framework—ideally ReactJS (ES6+/TypeScript).
  • Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs (OpenAPI) and deploying within containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience working on large codebases or enterprise-grade software products and owning feature delivery end-to-end.
  • Strong API design experience and familiarity with micro-frontends (preferred).
  • Hardware integration/API experience and familiarity with security hardware and systems (preferred).
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB), event streaming (Kafka), and streaming protocols (nice to have).
  • Experience or interest in concurrent distributed systems, near real-time computing/communication, and DevOps practices (preferred).
