Description

  • Lead technical engineering and compliance investigations related to Section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act, including the General Duty Clause and RMP.
  • Direct medium to large-scale complex projects to meet scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Review and interpret engineering and safety documentation, including OCAs, PHAs, operating procedures, training records, MOC and PSSR packages, audits, incident investigations, and emergency response materials.
  • Lead and support on-site compliance evaluations and inspections.
  • Work directly with personnel at facilities in industries such as petroleum refining, chemical manufacturing, refrigeration, flammable storage, natural gas processing, and chemical storage.
  • Manage and train junior and mid-level staff to support team growth.
  • Collaborate with multiple clients and internal stakeholders on project progress and budget status.
  • Support compliance work involving EPCRA and CERCLA requirements.
  • Travel occasionally to investigation sites, up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in process safety and/or chemical engineering.
  • Experience with EPA RMP, OSHA PSM, or similar state-level compliance programs.
  • Proven project management experience leading multiple projects and subcontractors on time and on budget.
  • Ability to prioritize work and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to carry 25 pounds, climb ladders, and work on elevated platforms.
  • Experience working with complex technical and compliance documentation.
  • Strong ability to manage client relationships and internal stakeholder communication.
  • Preferred: experience expanding expertise and client base in process safety compliance work.
