Description

  • Lead environmental site assessment and remediation projects for state and federal clients across Brownfields, CERCLA, RCRA, and Voluntary Remediation Programs.
  • Direct medium- to large-scale complex projects to meet scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Write, review, and oversee technical documents, reports, and engineering designs, including Phase I and Phase II ESAs, cleanup alternatives analyses, remediation plans, and work plans.
  • Review Sampling and Analysis Plans and Quality Assurance Project Plans to ensure sampling strategies are logical, efficient, and defensible.
  • Interpret engineering, geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data from contaminated sites.
  • Evaluate, design, and optimize multi-media remediation systems, including developing strategies, technical rationale, and cost estimates.
  • Provide senior-level management, technical guidance, and review of environmental assessments, investigations, permitting activities, and remediation evaluations.
  • Manage, mentor, and train junior and mid-level staff.
  • Assist with recruitment of environmental site assessment and remediation staff.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental site assessment and remediation.
  • Experience with Brownfields, CERCLA, RCRA Corrective Action, and/or state Voluntary Remediation Programs (VRPs).
  • Proven project management experience overseeing multiple projects and subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging remedial technologies.
  • Experience with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) preferred.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, perform effectively, and communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical capability to carry up to 25 pounds, climb ladders, and work on elevated platforms.
