Description

  • Provide technical assistance to small, underserved water and wastewater utilities seeking funding and support for sustainable infrastructure projects.
  • Design, build, and help maintain resilient water and wastewater infrastructure systems that deliver clean water to communities.
  • Assess and promote innovative water and wastewater treatment technologies and develop resources that reduce barriers to adoption.
  • Evaluate the design, costs, and environmental impacts of proposed water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare preliminary engineering reports for client projects.
  • Conduct sampling and survey programs and analyze environmental sampling results.
  • Develop concise data analysis reports based on environmental sampling and project findings.
  • Develop methods to control discharges of PFAS and other emerging contaminants that affect human health and the environment.
  • Collaborate with EPA, state agencies, and other organizations on water quality, resources, and infrastructure challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical, environmental, or civil engineering.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0, with college transcripts required.
  • 3 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and other software used to compile, analyze, and present data.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to develop quality client-ready deliverables.
  • Team player with the ability to foster cooperation and motivate others.
  • Ability and interest in traveling.
  • Experience with water and wastewater treatment and municipal system design (preferred).
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting requirements (preferred).
  • Technical writing experience (preferred).
  • Experience with statistical software packages such as R and coursework in statistics (preferred).
