Description

  • Help establish the React Native mobile application from setup through first release.
  • Build and extend PHP APIs and services supporting web and mobile clients.
  • Define mobile integration patterns and conventions for existing systems.
  • Own features end to end from design discussions through development and release.
  • Modernize legacy code patterns incrementally while preserving production stability.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve bugs across application logic, databases, and integrations.
  • Analyze logs, error reports, and monitoring data to identify root causes.
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, and Support to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
  • Participate in code reviews and apply standards for code quality, testing, and deployment.
  • Contribute to shared utilities, internal tooling, performance improvements, and reliability enhancements.

Requirements

  • Production experience as a PHP engineer.
  • Hands-on React Native experience, including at least one app shipped to the App Store or Google Play.
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs for web or mobile clients.
  • Ability to debug and fix issues in large or legacy codebases.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
  • Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote role and switch between new development and production support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for tracing complex bugs.
  • Preferred: experience with third-party API integrations, incremental legacy modernization, secure coding, data integrity, and mobile concerns such as offline behavior, push notifications, or release cycles.

Benefits

  • Remote position for candidates located in LATAM.
  • Total monthly compensation of $3,000–$3,500 USD.
