Description

  • Lead major incident bridges and restore service with minimal business impact.
  • Handle L3 escalations and perform deep diagnostics across Java, .NET, middleware, operating systems, and infrastructure.
  • Own technical root cause analyses and drive long-term systemic remediation.
  • Identify recurring failure patterns and operational risks.
  • Apply SRE practices, including SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and resilience patterns.
  • Tune JVM settings, analyze thread and heap dumps, and improve application performance.
  • Influence application architecture to improve fault tolerance, scalability, and recoverability.
  • Validate disaster recovery readiness, failover behavior, and resilience testing outcomes.
  • Provide technical approval and risk assessment for high-risk changes and releases.
  • Build automation for health checks, automated recovery, and compliance validation.

Requirements

  • 7–12+ years of experience in Application Reliability, Production Support, SRE, or platform operations.
  • Strong knowledge of application architecture, distributed systems, and middleware.
  • Java expertise including JVM internals, garbage collection, memory management, thread/heap dump analysis, and performance tuning.
  • .NET expertise including CLR internals, garbage collection, memory management, thread/dump analysis, and application performance tuning.
  • Strong Unix/Linux knowledge, networking basics, and advanced scripting in Shell, Python, PowerShell, or VBS.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and understanding of databases; experience with Autosys or an equivalent scheduler.
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics/Dynatrace, ELK, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Experience in regulated production environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • ITIL, cloud, or industry certifications preferred; banking or financial domain experience preferred.
