Description

  • Build and lead a new SRE team, including hiring, onboarding, and career development.
  • Define and implement SRE practices such as SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incident management, on-call models, and postmortems.
  • Establish clear operational ownership between SRE and product engineering teams.
  • Drive reliability improvements while balancing delivery velocity and system stability.
  • Reduce operational toil through automation and self-service platforms.
  • Design and improve incident response, escalation, and continuous learning processes.
  • Partner with engineering leaders on architecture, capacity planning, and launch readiness.
  • Own reliability metrics and communicate risk and performance to technical and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience managing managers or senior individual contributors.
  • Experience building an SRE team or function from scratch, or significantly scaling one.
  • Deep knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and observability.
  • Strong judgment about SRE best practices and how to apply them pragmatically.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with product and engineering leaders.
  • Calm and decisive leadership during production incidents.
  • Experience at a high-growth or post-Series B/C company is preferred.
  • Background in platform engineering or internal developer tooling is preferred.
  • Familiarity with compliance or regulated environments is preferred.
  • Ability to meet SDPC compliance responsibilities and complete required training.
