Description

  • Own project plans for assigned innovation initiatives, including scope, milestones, resource allocation, budget tracking, and critical path management.
  • Run structured project kick-offs, stand-ups, and milestone reviews with clear agendas and documented outcomes.
  • Maintain live project trackers and keep project status updated at all times.
  • Manage change requests formally by documenting impacts, seeking approvals, and updating baselines.
  • Maintain RAID logs and flag risks and issues in a timely manner.
  • Identify and manage dependencies across initiatives, escalating cross-portfolio issues to the Program Manager when needed.
  • Propose mitigations and sequencing options to support delivery through ambiguity and conflict.
  • Produce clear status reports and RAG-rated updates for each initiative.
  • Feed accurate project-level data into portfolio reporting on time.
  • Maintain project documentation, including charters, RACI, meeting notes, decisions logs, and lessons learned.
  • Coordinate with project team members, SMEs, business leads, vendors, and internal functions to manage schedules, actions, and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in innovation programs or portfolio management, ideally in IT services, consulting, or technology firms.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects end to end, not just coordination or tracking support.
  • Strong planning skills, including building advanced charts, managing dependencies, and tracking critical paths.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of concurrent initiatives with cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complexity into clear narratives.
  • Proficiency with portfolio tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalent.
  • PgMP, PMP, or Prince2 Practitioner certification preferred.
  • Exposure to AI and digital transformation programs is required.
  • Advanced Office 365 tool skills are required.
  • Experience working within or alongside a PMO / Portfolio Office structure is preferred.
  • Experience managing innovation, transformation, or AI-adjacent projects is preferred.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where scope evolves and ambiguity is normal.
  • Exposure to governance-heavy delivery contexts is a plus.
