Description

  • Partner across product, engineering, design, and data disciplines to define and deliver user-focused features.
  • Set the design bar for Flights Search and shape how travelers discover, compare, and choose flights.
  • Design scalable systems, patterns, and components that reduce design dependency and enable independent shipping by PMs and EMs.
  • Turn complex ideas into clear, simple, high-quality user flows.
  • Model AI-native design practices for the Flights team and demonstrate what effective AI-assisted workflows look like.
  • Lead design reviews and improve how feedback is gathered and decisions are made.
  • Build trust and collaboration with cross-functional peers while raising the overall quality bar.
  • Continuously coach and challenge other designers to sharpen craft and clarity.

Requirements

  • Mastery of the full product development process, from product planning and discovery to concepts, build-ready designs, and prototypes.
  • Proven experience building prototypes in code.
  • Daily use of AI tools in the design workflow, including Cursor and Figma Make.
  • Experience managing stakeholders in partnership with PMs, engineers, data teams, and executives.
  • Experience designing patterns, templates, and components that enable PMs and EMs to ship independently.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to explain design decisions and rationale.
  • Hands-on, technical design experience in a high-volume product environment is preferred.
  • Strong conviction and a high bar for product excellence are expected.
  • Ability to work across design, product, engineering, and data in a collaborative environment.

  • Base salary range of $155,000 to $215,000 USD.
