Description

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for payments and fintech products, including payment acceptance and card issuing.
  • Expand payments capabilities by integrating new payment methods, card programs, and financial partners.
  • Partner with Business Development and Product leadership to shape and launch strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, CX, and sales to deliver initiatives from ideation through post-launch.
  • Represent the Payments function in executive discussions, cross-functional forums, and customer deep dives.
  • Use AI in day-to-day product work and help build AI-native product experiences.
  • Make platform and infrastructure decisions that support acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization.
  • Lead complex initiatives across a mature payments platform and help define what Engine needs next.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time on technical or platform products.
  • Experience owning complex backend systems end to end.
  • Direct experience in payments, credit cards, or fintech is preferred.
  • Hands-on exposure to payment acceptance, card issuing, authorization, settlement, or reconciliation is preferred.
  • Strong technical depth and comfort discussing architecture, tradeoffs, and system design with engineering.
  • Systems-thinking mindset with experience building and scaling cross-functional systems.
  • Customer-obsessed approach that keeps end-user experience in view.
  • Daily use of AI tools and a clear point of view on AI’s impact on product teams and payments.
  • Experience shipping AI-powered features or workflows is preferred.
  • Hands-on, collaborative builder mentality.

  • Competitive base salary of $153,935 to $213,000 USD.
