Description

  • Design and deliver scalable customer-facing backend capabilities from architecture through production.
  • Drive API and system design decisions with scalability, security, and maintainability in mind.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
  • Own features end to end, from early discovery and architectural design to rollout and iteration.
  • Improve reliability, observability, testing practices, and architectural standards within the team’s domain.
  • Contribute to mentoring, hiring, and raising the engineering bar within the team.

Requirements

  • Strong experience building scalable backend systems with TypeScript and Node.js, ideally using NestJS.
  • Proven track record designing and evolving REST APIs in production environments.
  • Solid experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling and performance optimization in SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to own features end to end and make sound architectural trade-offs.
