Description

  • Lead financial modeling in Excel to evaluate investment opportunities, including returns, NPV, IRR, debt sizing, tax equity structures, and power purchase agreement pricing.
  • Assess capital structures across nuclear, renewable, and broader energy infrastructure assets.
  • Conduct counterparty credit analysis and risk assessments to support investment decisions.
  • Monitor energy market transactions to identify trends in pricing, deal structures, terms, and best practices.
  • Support transaction execution by preparing investment memos and internal approval materials.
  • Prepare marketing materials and data packages for capital raising, debt, and tax equity proposals.
  • Manage data rooms and coordinate diligence processes with external capital partners, lenders, and advisors.
  • Track and report on portfolio financial and operational performance, and maintain investment dashboards and tracking tools.
  • Support internal budgeting, investor reporting, accounting, and tax activities.
  • Partner with development, finance, and legal teams on project financing and investment execution, and assist with board and investor presentation materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, project finance, infrastructure investing, or a comparable analytical role.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance and project finance principles.
  • Hands-on experience with complex financial modeling, including NPV, IRR, debt sizing, and tax equity structures.
  • Experience with transaction support, including investment memo preparation and diligence coordination.
  • Experience with capital raising processes and marketing material development.
  • Experience with portfolio monitoring and performance reporting.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills with the ability to build complex models from scratch.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills for investment committee and counterparty presentations.
  • Understanding of energy project economics and familiarity with wholesale power markets, commodity pricing, and the energy transition landscape.
  • Experience with energy or infrastructure transactions, including renewables, nuclear, or power generation, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with tax equity structures and clean energy financing mechanisms is preferred.
  • MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
