Description

  • Design and implement front-end components using React or a similar JavaScript framework.
  • Develop back-end services and APIs using Python, Node.js, and related frameworks.
  • Build scalable, secure, and maintainable application architecture for enterprise-level use.
  • Create reusable UI components and responsive interfaces using modern JavaScript and TypeScript practices.
  • Ensure application features meet Section 508 accessibility requirements and federal accessibility guidelines.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, data engineers, DevOps, QA, and product teams to integrate systems and deliver features.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, code reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Implement secure coding practices and support compliance with federal cybersecurity and data protection standards.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across the full stack.
  • Support CI/CD pipeline integration, deployments, and technical documentation for architecture, APIs, and UI components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in full stack software development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with React for front-end development.
  • Strong experience with Python or Node.js for back-end development and API creation.
  • Experience designing and implementing end-to-end web applications in enterprise or government environments.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON data structures, and microservices-based architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience working in federal government or other highly regulated environments with security and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially regarding accessibility and usability requirements.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • US citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
  • Must reside in the Continental US.
  • Public trust background check or security clearance may be required depending on the agency.
  • Preferred: Experience with TypeScript, Redux, or modern front-end state management frameworks.
  • Preferred: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated experience ensuring Section 508 accessibility compliance in web applications.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting CMS, healthcare, or other federal digital service programs.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with automated accessibility testing tools and WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
  • Preferred: Experience using AI/ML APIs, LLM access, NLP tools, or Amazon Comprehend.
