Description

  • Serve as the primary Product Owner for Agent and Broker digital products and tools.
  • Act as the main liaison between the development team and the AB business team to align priorities, requirements, and delivery expectations.
  • Manage and prioritize the product roadmap to support business objectives, user needs, and compliance requirements.
  • Define, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring user stories are clear, actionable, and ready for development.
  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX/UI, QA, and DevSecOps teams to deliver capabilities successfully and on time.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support stakeholder meetings, demos, planning sessions, release planning, and deployment readiness.
  • Ensure product decisions align with federal compliance standards, including security, privacy, and accessibility requirements.
  • Monitor product performance and user feedback to inform continuous improvement and prioritization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in product management or product ownership roles.
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated experience with agent and broker platforms, portals, or marketplace ecosystems.
  • Experience supporting government or federal IT contracting environments.
  • Strong experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, and Agile delivery processes.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and lead through influence in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Experience writing detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
  • Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, and enterprise digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies; Scrum required and SAFe preferred.
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
  • Must reside in the Continental US.
  • May require a public trust background check or security clearance depending on the agency.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred.
  • Prior experience modernizing legacy systems into digital self-service platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with identity management, authentication, and authorization systems in broker/agent ecosystems preferred.
  • Experience working in large-scale, multi-team federal programs preferred.
  • HUBZone residency is strongly encouraged.
