Description

  • Build features and components for production services.
  • Own well-scoped pieces of larger projects from requirements through production.
  • Propose technical solutions and implement them in working code.
  • Pair with senior engineers on complex problems and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
  • Help operate owned services and participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Investigate incidents beyond the runbook and improve them for the next person.
  • Automate repetitive work through code.
  • Communicate status and blockers early and often.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience writing services in Go, or strong proficiency in another systems language with motivation to ramp up on Go.
  • Working understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals, including Pods, Deployments, Services, and Operators.
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Curiosity about distributed systems and how services communicate at scale.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity with support from more experienced engineers.
  • A collaborative approach that includes welcoming feedback, sharing context, and learning from teammates.
  • Clear written and verbal communication in a distributed, async-first setting.
  • Care for quality, including testing, observability, and operability.
  • Experience with Crossplane, Kubernetes operators, or similar infrastructure-as-code tooling (preferred).
  • Experience supporting production services through an on-call rotation (preferred).
  • Background working in a cloud-based SaaS environment or on a developer platform (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the Elastic Stack or other observability tools (preferred).
  • Open source contributions of any kind (preferred).
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development, debugging, or code optimization (preferred).

  • Typical starting salary range of €55,800 to €76,700 EUR.
