Description

  • Lead technical initiatives to design, build, and automate network infrastructure and services for global platform reliability.
  • Develop and maintain software, codebases, tooling, and automation for a Network Infrastructure as Code approach.
  • Improve the resilience, security, and operational quality of the global network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineers in an inclusive, operationally excellent environment.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and help resolve complex customer issues.
  • Respond to major incidents and drive prevention of repeated customer impact through problem management.
  • Contribute to technical design, coding, and infrastructure improvements across the platform.

Requirements

  • Excellent networking knowledge, including IP/IPv6, TCP/UDP, BGP, and DNS.
  • Strong experience building and automating networks with Terraform and Ansible.
  • Knowledge of public cloud networking components such as load balancers, VPC peering/transit gateways, VPN connectivity, and Direct Connect.
  • Site Reliability Engineering experience or proven success in operational excellence.
  • Experience responding to and preventing repeated customer impact from major incidents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across distributed teams, including remote environments, is desirable.
  • Preferred experience operating a SaaS product in a public cloud with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Crossplane or Terraform.
  • Preferred experience designing or operating large BGP-based network topologies.
  • Preferred experience with software routers, IP address management (IPAM), overlay networks using IPSec, GRE, or VXLAN, and Kubernetes at scale across multiple cloud providers.
  • Preferred experience writing non-trivial programs in Golang or other languages, working with Docker, Linux distributed systems, Elastic Stack, Graphite, Prometheus, or Influx, and mentoring others.

  • Typical starting salary range of $179,800 to $232,900 USD.
