Description

  • Act as the bridge between engineering and analyst teams across day-to-day data operations.
  • Own and scale the business logic in the data pipeline that powers dv01’s customer products.
  • Integrate new datasets into the platform and support the related end-to-end processes.
  • Work directly with internal stakeholders, analyst experts, and customers to understand data complexities and needs.
  • Build and maintain production data workflows using modern open source and cloud-native technologies.
  • Configure new pipelines and debug existing pipelines as needed.
  • Translate complex business logic into code within the data model and pipeline.
  • Collaborate in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and direct client interaction.

Requirements

  • Production-ready programming experience in Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Highly proficient SQL skills.
  • Experience as a data engineer or a demonstrated early-career trajectory through projects or portfolio work.
  • Understanding of relational data concepts and data modeling.
  • Experience wrangling messy raw data into usable datasets.
  • Experience expressing business logic as code and working with data pipelines.
  • Exposure to big data and AI tools, including using AI tools to improve work velocity without compromising code quality.
  • Interest or experience in both engineering and finance, including loan portfolio concepts such as amortization, prepay, and default.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Comfort working in environments with changing priorities and direct customer interaction.
