Description

  • Develop mission-critical consumer flows for new features and iterate on existing ones.
  • Partner with product and design to scope, plan, and sequence work.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create flexible execution plans when ideal approaches are not feasible.
  • Mentor other engineers and help them grow their skills.
  • Own and improve the ecommerce platform foundations used by customer-facing experiences.
  • Work hands-on across a long-term platform roadmap with multiple developers.
  • Contribute to a collaborative full-stack team working across owned systems, third-party integrations, and API-driven services.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of development experience.
  • Experience with Ruby, Rails, and React is nice to have but not required.
  • Leadership experience, including successfully mentoring others.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills in writing and in person.
  • Experience building user experiences within complex products.
  • Strong coding fundamentals, including writing clean, tested, and organized code.
  • Willingness to work in an agile environment and ship code frequently.
  • Ability to form and communicate clear points of view and adapt them when needed (preferred).
  • Experience through a rapid growth period at a previous company, from startup to mid-size, is a plus.
  • Ability to think through problems from first principles and from the customer’s perspective is a bonus.

Benefits

  • Starting salary of $162,000 to $220,000.
