Description

  • Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a portfolio of data products used across ecommerce, POS, B2B, and analytics.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to improve the data platform, including matching, classification, canonical naming, and data quality.
  • Define and ship data-driven experiences for retailer-facing, business-facing, and internal users, including APIs and SLAs.
  • Develop next-generation AI and machine learning systems, such as next-best-action and recommendations engines.
  • Own architecture and governance models for critical data assets such as product identifiers and taxonomies.
  • Resolve conflicts between data contributors and canonical authority while balancing flexibility and consistency.
  • Translate improvements in data coverage, quality, and structure into measurable business outcomes.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams and external partners to deliver cohesive platform outcomes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in product management.
  • Demonstrated ownership of data products and production-grade machine learning systems.
  • Experience turning internal data infrastructure into externally facing products or platform capabilities.
  • Strong technical fluency across data pipelines, ML/NLP systems, and data quality tooling.
  • Comfort working closely with data engineering teams on architecture, pipeline design, and quality metrics.
  • Experience with product catalog, taxonomy, or product information management (PIM) systems, ideally in a multi-sided marketplace or platform context.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional dependencies across multiple engineering teams.
  • B2B software experience with an understanding of how platform products are adopted and configured by business operators.
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, to improve product quality or automate classification is a strong plus.
  • Experience designing governance models for shared data assets, including data provenance and canonical authority.
  • Comfort owning product identifier systems such as SKU hierarchies, parent-child product relationships, and cross-jurisdiction variants.
  • Experience in cannabis or regulated industries is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with modern data stack tooling such as dbt, Dagster, and Snowflake is a bonus.
  • Background in building or scaling B2B marketplace platforms is a bonus.
  • Experience with product graph or knowledge graph approaches is a bonus.
