Description

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure proper classification of financial transactions.
  • Review general ledger journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, cash, and inventory.
  • Prepare journal entries related to capitalized software, debt, and equity.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances with supporting documentation.
  • Oversee accounts payable, including invoice processing and vendor payments.
  • Prepare technical accounting assessments and memos.
  • Assist with internal financial statements and management reports.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during year-end financial statement audits.
  • Develop, document, and maintain internal controls over accounting processes and systems.
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements, including AI-driven optimizations, to improve efficiency and close accuracy.
  • Manage corporate credit card programs and the expense reporting system.
  • Serve as a key contact for financial system maintenance, ERP administration, and future system implementations or integrations.
  • Provide budget-to-actual variance analysis and financial support to operational teams.
  • Handle ad hoc accounting projects and analysis for senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation is strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a management or senior role.
  • Experience in Big 4 Accounting, a large public company, and/or a fast-paced technology, SaaS, or startup environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct (preferred).
  • Proven experience managing a full-cycle General Ledger and leading a monthly close process (preferred).
  • Experience building scalable accounting processes from the ground up (preferred).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for working with non-finance stakeholders (preferred).
  • Proactive, self-starter mentality with strong problem-solving skills (preferred).
  • Experience with AI design and rollout (preferred).
