Description

  • Monitor accounting operations KPIs, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Streamline cash application and payment reconciliation processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to identify and implement automation tools or systems.
  • Conduct training sessions to keep the accounting team current on policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement internal controls and processes to mitigate financial risks and support compliance.
  • Coordinate ad hoc accounting projects and ensure timely, accurate completion.
  • Partner with Brand Payments on brand onboarding and offboarding and resolve outstanding payments.
  • Perform periodic reviews to confirm clearance of uncleared checks and maintain accurate records.
  • Work with the legal team to ensure proper compliance and accounting treatment for legal matters.
  • Oversee invoice generation and revenue reconciliation for accurate billing and financial reporting.
  • Prepare audit letters and support files for internal and external audits.
  • Manage and support the accounting operations team to meet departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting operations, including 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting operations processes, including cash application, reconciliation, and vendor payments.
  • Knowledge of the order-to-cash cycle and its relationship to accounting operations.
  • Experience using accounting software and platforms, including QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Ability to collaborate across departments to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in financial data management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex accounting issues and discrepancies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration and team leadership.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience motivating and developing a high-performing team.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to accounting operations.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret financial data and reports effectively.
