Description

  • Own the full P&L for Dutch’s ecommerce business across prescription and non-prescription products, including targets, performance tracking, and profitability.
  • Identify the highest-value commerce opportunities and drive cross-functional execution to capture them.
  • Define and evolve the product assortment strategy across prescription and OTC categories.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging product categories.
  • Partner with the AI team to build a personalized product recommendation engine using EMR data and vet-issued insights.
  • Define the data inputs, recommendation logic, and feedback loops that power product recommendations.
  • Lead the reimagination of Dutch’s product storefront from concept through execution.
  • Partner with creative, UX, and engineering teams to build a storefront that is both vet-credible and commercially effective.
  • Own merchandising strategy, including product collections, promotional calendars, bundles, and campaigns.
  • Own the conversion funnel and continuously optimize performance through testing and iteration.
  • Manage product metadata strategy and the lifecycle of the product catalog from onboarding to sunset decisions.
  • Scout new products, emerging brands, and category innovations that fit customer needs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience in ecommerce, marketplace, or consumer product businesses, preferably in a startup environment.
  • Experience owning a P&L and managing to margin and profitability targets.
  • Strong ability to read, question, and use data to make decisions and recommendations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, design, engineering, and data science teams.
  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to identify opportunities, build business cases, and execute plans.
  • High drive and self-motivation with a track record of setting ambitious goals and holding yourself accountable.
  • Strong curiosity and willingness to learn quickly.
  • Experience in pet, health & wellness, or subscription ecommerce is preferred.
  • Background in AI/ML-powered personalization or recommendation systems is preferred.
  • Experience leading a storefront or marketplace redesign from concept to launch is preferred.
  • Familiarity with vendor negotiations, wholesale buying, or marketplace supplier management is preferred.
  • Startup or high-growth company experience is preferred.
