Description

  • Own the ecommerce P&L, including revenue, margin, profitability targets, and performance accountability.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for product sales based on market signals, platform data, and customer needs.
  • Define the product assortment strategy across prescription and OTC categories.
  • Lead the storefront reimagination across the homepage, collection pages, product detail pages, and checkout experience.
  • Own merchandising, including collections, promotional calendars, bundles, subscriptions, auto-refills, and vet-recommended products.
  • Manage the conversion funnel and testing roadmap, using analytics and qualitative insights to improve performance.
  • Manage product catalog data, metadata, lifecycle decisions, and items-file operations.
  • Recommend CMS and item-management tooling as the business scales, including clear tradeoff analysis.
  • Partner with the AI team to develop personalized product recommendations using EMR data and veterinary insights.
  • Monitor competitors, market trends, emerging brands, and new product categories.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience in ecommerce, marketplaces, or consumer products, preferably at a startup.
  • Track record of driving meaningful revenue growth and owning a P&L with margin and profitability accountability.
  • Hands-on experience managing a storefront across homepages, collection pages, PDPs, and product data.
  • Measurable success improving consumer conversion funnels with documented before-and-after results.
  • Strong data analysis and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience collaborating with product, design, engineering, and data science teams.
  • Strong commercial judgment, opportunity assessment, business-case development, and execution skills.
  • Exceptional drive, self-motivation, accountability, and ability to work in a high-ownership environment.
  • Hands-on Shopify experience or a well-supported perspective on CMS and catalog-management tools.
  • Preferred: experience with subscriptions, pet or health and wellness ecommerce, AI/ML personalization, vendor negotiations, wholesale buying, or marketplace suppliers.
