Description

  • Partner with Product Engineers and Data Engineers to build reliable, efficient, and scalable data foundations, tools, and processes.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify the most impactful opportunities and influence product roadmaps and strategies.
  • Perform exploratory and deep-dive analyses to understand user workflows and engagement patterns on AI features.
  • Propose hypotheses and design and execute experiments with rigor and efficient data techniques.
  • Translate complex data insights into clear business implications and recommendations.
  • Identify the highest-priority opportunities and focus ruthlessly on the area you own.
  • Contribute to a culture of strong technical ownership and help evolve the data science working model.
  • Partner with Data Science leadership, Product, Engineering, Design, User Research, and senior executives to execute and iterate rapidly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience leveraging data-driven analysis to influence product roadmaps and business decisions, preferably in a tech company.
  • Proven ability to work independently, drive measurable business impact, and proactively engage with business stakeholders with minimal direction.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming/scripting languages.
  • Deep understanding of statistical analysis, experimentation design, and analytical techniques such as regression and decision trees.
  • Ability to provide data insights and recommendations for 0→1 products even when sample sizes are small.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in startups or building 0→1 products (preferred).
  • Expertise in using data to inform AI/ML product development (preferred).
  • Background in SaaS product (preferred).

Benefits

  • Canada pay range of $162,400 to $219,600 CAD.
