Description

  • Support the monthly and quarterly close processes by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and financial reporting deliverables.
  • Own accounting for outbound revenue programs, including emerging initiatives, Sales Compensation, and Market Development Funds (MDF).
  • Evaluate and document technical accounting conclusions for new and evolving go-to-market initiatives in line with ASC 606 and ASC 340.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, and Channel teams to assess program design and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Develop, document, and enhance revenue accounting processes and internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives, including evaluating AI tools to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Support internal and external audits and contribute to ad hoc projects and business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to scale revenue programs and improve accounting workflows.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in revenue accounting, including public accounting experience; Big 4 experience preferred, or experience at a high-growth technology company.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of revenue recognition guidance, including ASC 606 and ASC 340.
  • Experience working with complex revenue arrangements, preferably in a SaaS or subscription-based business model.
  • Experience evaluating, documenting, and communicating technical accounting conclusions, including drafting accounting memos and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements through automation and innovative solutions.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including analyzing large datasets, preparing journal entries, and performing ad hoc analyses.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and navigate ambiguity and evolving business processes.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with Oracle ERP systems preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred.
  • Cross-functional experience with a Go-to-Market organization preferred.
  • Exposure to sales compensation, rebates, or MDF accounting preferred.

Benefits

  • US Zone 2 salary range: $108,300 to $146,500 USD.
  • US Zone 3 salary range: $96,200 to $130,200 USD.
