Description

  • Lead technical onboarding and adoption for AEC accounts from pilot through multi-project rollout.
  • Partner with Customer Success Managers and Account Executives to remove technical blockers and protect account value.
  • Advise customers on construction, VDC, and BIM workflows, goals, KPIs, and integrations.
  • Design and deliver persona-based training through DroneDeploy Academy, virtual sessions, and in-field enablement.
  • Build and maintain AEC playbooks, SOPs, workflow guides, QA steps, safety/compliance guidance, and integration patterns.
  • Serve as an integration expert for Civil 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit/Navisworks, Procore, ESRI, and related tools.
  • Monitor usage and account health data to identify risk and drive targeted interventions.
  • Own complex technical troubleshooting involving mapping accuracy, RTK/GCP, advanced queries, and integration edge cases.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Support, Sales, Services, and Marketing to improve materials and share field insights.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, VDC/BIM management, customer success, or similar customer-facing technical roles in B2B SaaS or construction technology.
  • Meaningful AEC experience in general contracting, design-build, heavy civil, or related environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or an equivalent technical field, or comparable hands-on AEC experience.
  • Proven experience implementing or scaling construction workflows such as drone or 360 capture, BIM coordination, quantity tracking, or site documentation across multiple projects or regions.
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit/Navisworks, and CAD-based workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with drones, 360 cameras, or laser scanners, including hardware configuration tradeoffs.
  • Ability to use SaaS usage data and analytics to identify patterns and make data-backed recommendations.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills for technical and executive audiences.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Part 107 UAV pilot’s license within 90 days of hire, if required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically 20–25% for site visits, customer training, and industry events.
