Description

  • Lead workflows for merchant fees, billing, payouts, and tax application for U.S. Enterprise New Verticals merchants, with consideration for global enterprise merchants.
  • Own the Merchant Finance Product Roadmap and represent the New Verticals merchant perspective in product prioritization discussions.
  • Design and improve processes to triage and resolve payment, invoicing, and tax issues, including ownership, routing, and escalation paths.
  • Support product launches with business cases, success metrics, and rollout plans for merchant-facing changes.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation and communications for Partner Managers, Accounting, and Support teams.
  • Translate merchant needs into product requirements and operational workflows across product, finance, tax, and go-to-market teams.
  • Take over key recurring workflows in the first months and lead improvements that reduce issues and improve clarity for merchants and internal teams.
  • Help shape how merchant-facing features that affect money flows are launched and iterated over time.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in strategy and operations, business operations, consulting, product operations, or similar analytical roles.
  • Comfort with financial concepts such as pricing, fees, discounts, taxes, and payouts.
  • Ability to work across finance and tax teams on complex merchant or payment problems.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems, identify root causes, and drive clear fixes.
  • Experience using data tools such as spreadsheets or SQL to size problems, build simple models, and track performance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics in simple language.
  • Experience leading and influencing multiple teams and senior leadership on highly cross-functional projects.
  • Experience using AI to help solve issues yourself is a plus.
